George Michael was involved in yet another traffic accident, only a few months after regaining the license he lost in 2007.

The singer, born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, was arrested after his car collided with another vehicle. He was questioned by police with the suspicion that he was driving under the influence of either drugs or alcohol, something the driver has done before.

He was released without being charged and released a statement earlier today,

“Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober. We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight. I don’t want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again.” – George Michael, August 2009

The driver of the other vehicle, Laurie Rowe, told the Daily Mail that Mr. Michael seemed “completely disorientated, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my lorry. He kept saying he was worried he would go to jail.”

Obviously he was not drunk, or else he would have been charged with a DUI (or London’s equivalent).

George, it may or may not have been your fault, and I love you — but seriously, you can afford a driver, so just hire one. You don’t need to be getting into any more wrecks.
