Weezer’s new album, Raditude is out now. As part of a promotion for their new album, Weezer has teamed up with Snuggie. To make Weezer Snuggies. Seriously.

Yes, I know this is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek. Ha ha, funny Mr. Rivers Cuomo. But that’s the problem; it isn’t funny. Weezer hasn’t been funny for years now, and by teaming up with one of the most useless items on the face of the earth, the band has been pushed into complete douche-bag territory.

Here’s the video. Judge for yourself. If you want to, you can even buy the album on Amazon for just $3.99. Is it worth it? Possibly, if you like Weezer. Reception on the album has been mixed — I’ve never been a huge fan of the band and while I do not like all of the tongue-in-cheek stuff that the band is known for, I do enjoy SOME of their material. I just got a copy of Raditude today so we will have a full review up in a day or two.

Until then, buy a Weezer Snuggie and help Rivers finance his douche-bag army. Who knows — these Weezer Snuggies will probably end up being worth some money in a few years.
