After such a storm surrounding the Rihanna/Chris Brown scandal, Brown today made matters worse by pleading not guilty in court.  Standing with his lawyer, Mark Geragos, The 19-year old Brown spoke quietly to the courtroom.

Last month Brown was charged with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats to pop singer Rihanna, and finally appeared in court today to give his plea.  Even with a great amount of evidence stacking up against him, the singer decided to plead not guilty, and the next court date is set for April 29th.

The two are rumored to have gotten in a fight over a text message sent to Brown, and the matter escalated quickly.  The occurrence happened on February 8th, and shortly after pictures of Rihanna’s battered face began to sneak up online.  Shortly after, the two were seen together in public and are assumed to be back together.
