Scorpions set to disband after more than 40 years together

German rockers the Scorpions have announced that they are planning to disband after releasing their final album, “Sting In The Tail” and going on one more world tour that will last “over the next few years.”

That means all 80s/90s power ballad/metal fans need to get some tickets soon, or else you’ll never get to see the Scorpions again. Most people know them for “Wind of Change,” or “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” you know, the best 80s song ever. So epic. So very epic.

It’s always sad to see a band that’s been together so long break up, but the band stated that “we agree we have reached the end of the road.” Wow, so succinct. Anyway, the band is set to tour until at least 2012, so catch them if you are a fan! You know you want to hear “Rock You Like A Hurricane” live before you die…

I didn’t even know they had a new album coming out, but fans should keep their eyes peeled come March.
