A new Adam Lambert song leaked recently, called “Want”. It’s from an album Lambert is having released later this summer, “On With the Show”. Apparently, the disc is made up of stuff Lambert recorded BEFORE appearing on American Idol.

The single is a pop-rock tinged little number, and I must say, I’m actually pleasantly surprised.  Lambert shows a bit of restraint in the vocal performance and the song itself sounds pretty good.

It made it’s rounds on the internet over the last week — but instead of searching for it, just listen to it here!

It does have a certain glam rock vibe at times — particularly the guitar solo and when Adam does start letting his voice go off the rails a bit… it all adds up to a pretty good song!

Kind of a strange turn of events for Adam… this disc is being released on an older label, not the one Lambert just signed on to after finishing runner-up on American Idol. Not sure if they can legally release it.. AI has kind of iron-clad contracts with the contestants, but regardless — you can listen to the song above!
