About
themusictionary.com was established in February of 2009 as a music news, information and review portal. We strive to post the latest and biggest news, and also focus on well-written reviews and columns.
Details:
The Musictionary is owned and operated by Steven Anthony Hammock, who has been a member of the music press for over 5 years. Originally he was involved in covering Japanese pop and rock music here in the United States and has interviewed major acts including Dir en grey, MUCC, Oblivion Dust, and Love Psychedelico. After leaving his first major press endeavor, J-Revolution.com, Steven took a few months off from the internet to find a new platform to work with.
Eventually we hope to have a staff well-versed in all genres of music. We would like to have the site cover as much news as possible, and if you think you can help, let us know! Even submitting news for artists we don’t typically cover can help us a lot!
If you are interested in writing for The Musictionary.com, please send us an email with a resume of sorts, listing past music websites or blogs you’ve written for or any other type of professional writing experience. We are constantly looking for more writers for writing both columns and reviews. If you are just interested in posting news, that’s fine too. Just let us know and we will see if we can find a spot for you here!
